New Block House in Vienna

Steak lovers have been getting their money’s worth at the Block House am Naschmarkt since the end of February. The first Block House in Vienna celebrated its official opening last Wednesday. Around 130 guests spent a pleasant evening together with tender steaks, crisp fresh salads, oven-fresh Block House bread and an original baked potato. The founder of this restaurant concept, Eugen Block, travelled there from Hamburg with his wife Christa, his daughter Christina and his son Philipp. Block House is part of the Block Group, a Hamburg-based group of companies managed by CEO Stephan von Bülow, who also came to the opening. “Vienna is a wonderful city,” he said, “with a uniquely vibrant, international atmosphere. It gives me great pleasure that our franchise partner, Mr Viacheslav Ashurov, has enabled us to open a Block House for our guests in this prominent position.” Even Markus Rumelhart, Mayor of Mariahilf, the 6th municipal district of Vienna, dropped by for a steak.
