BLOCK HOUSE raffled a trip for 2 people to the USA. Pascal from Hamburg was the happy winner of this exciting trip – so now it’s off across the mighty ocean for him and his girlfriend, Isabell. But why don't we just let the two of them relate what is in store during a BLOCK HOUSE trip to the USA:

Hello dear BLOCK HOUSE friends, we are happy to give you and your guests some insight into our thrilling trip. Even now we are still totally excited and fascinated by this trip, but to start at the beginning:

Following our delayed but still pleasant flight to Omaha, we were warmly welcomed by 2 friendly lady staff-members and driven straight to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel we were immediately received by David, another Omaha Packing staff member. He was kind enough to have checked us into the hotel already, so we went straight to our hotel room to freshen up. The next step was a dinner invitation to a lovely steakhouse. As is normal for a steakhouse, we were obviously served a tasty steak, and we still dream about it today...but we are lucky in Hamburg to have the BLOCK HOUSE, and without delay we shall certainly pay it another visit in the hope of re-living our memories of this trip as many times as possible.

The following  morning we were fetched as early as 07:00. David drove us to the Omaha Packing HQ and showed us the offices there, and we were even granted a glimpse of the hallowed production halls. Next we were driven straight to a supplier farm, and even the hour-long journey was super, since David had lots of stories to tell us.

Upon arrival at the farm we were received in person by the owner and his sons. We were shown around and saw everything, and after experiencing the cows at feeding time, the owners even afforded us a look into their private residences, telling us a lot about their personal history. On the farm we felt very welcome, because they were all lovely, friendly and accommodating and did everything to help us enjoy our short time there. Undoubtedly we could have experienced more there, nevertheless it was most enjoyable for us. All in all let us say this was our best trip to America, and indeed we would be happy to pay a return visit to the farm and the Omaha Packing HQ at any time. They were all unbelievably hospitable, and we all exchanged addresses. Our time in Omaha was really unforgettable, and we would have loved to spend a whole week there. ;-)

Our heartiest thanks go to the entire BLOCK HOUSE team for making such a success of it.

Yours Pascal and Isabell
